DocHawk Platinum™ 3-day trial

See for yourself why DocHawk™ is the best attachment viewer on the market. Downloading and installing the DocHawk™ client will provide three days of fully-featured trial usage. This application requires BlackBerry® OS 4.0 or newer.

Please be sure to follow these four setup steps, as they will ensure a quick and effective start with DocHawk™.

1. Install the application:

The easiest way to install our application is to use your BlackBerry®'s browser and navigate to this URL and select "Begin installation":
http://www.terratial.com/qdhc

If you would prefer instead to get the installer intended for use with the BlackBerry® Desktop Manager's Application Loader, please download the application installation files.

If you use a BlackBerry® Enterprise Server and experience an HTTP error 406 ("not acceptable") when attempting to download this application over-the-air, or you get an "invalid digital signature" error when attempting to install it via the BlackBerry® Desktop Manager's Application Loader, then please ask your BES administrator to enable the installation of third-party applications via your device's IT policy.

2. In the main icon menu on your phone, please locate the DocHawk™ icon and select it. In case you cannot locate the icon there, look for a folder called "Applications" and open it, and our icon may appear there. DocHawk™ will present its welcome screen to you. Now select the "Get started with DocHawk" menu item. (To view a walkthrough of getting the settings done correctly, please see our Get Started page)

In the Settings section, enter your e-mail address in the first field.

In the second field, set the checkbox defining whether or not you use a BlackBerry® Enterprise Server.

In the third field, please select your service provider.

3. You should now be back in the DocHawk™ welcome screen, so please select the "Get document list" menu item. You may get a prompt indicating that DocHawk™ is seeking HTTP access. If so, set the first checkbox to checked ("allow all HTTP connections") and then click the "Allow..." button. You will then see an indicator that you have not yet provided any attachments to DocHawk™ for processing. This is expected behavior, since you have not yet provided anything to DocHawk™.

DocHawk™ is now ready to work for you. From this point onward, all you have to do is go into your BlackBerry®'s e-mail inbox, open an e-mail with a supported attachment type, push the thumbwheel and select "Open with DocHawk", then click "Submit". Your e-mail will be sent automatically to the DocHawk Platinum™ server farm for immediate processing. You will be presented with a status window which will inform you of when your attachment has been processed. A green arrow means that the work has been completed. When you see the green arrow, please select that document in the list, push the thumbwheel and select "View page 1".

In the "view" document mode, to scroll vertically, just use the thumbwheel. To scroll horizontally, please push the Alt, Num, or ArrowUp-ArrowDown key (depending on your model) while scrolling the thumbwheel.

DocHawk™ also enables you to store your processed attachments to your BlackBerry® so that future HTTP access will not be required in order to access the saved pages. To take advantage of this, whenever you are viewing an individual page, please select the "Save this page locally" menu item. From this point onward, you can access the save page(s) by selecting the "Go to saved pages" menu item.

One other point we would like to share with you is that DocHawk™'s technology is available for deployment on corporate sites. If you are interested in this kind of configuration, please contact sales@terratial.com for further details.

We sincerely hope that DocHawk™ will markedly increase your productivity with your BlackBerry®.
